If you are giving our knives as groomsmen gifts, personalizing a knife for a friend, or otherwise wanting to uniquely identify a knife, engraving can be a nice addition. We engrave (deep engrave, not just surface marking) using a laser. This requires us to prepare a CAD file with the engraving so that it locates precisely on the knife blade.
You now have two choices for engraving, either text only or graphics (can include text) for things like logos and symbols. Text only engraving is the cheaper option. We charge more for anything involving vector or bitmap graphics as these involve considerably more CAD work and setup. Text is anything that we can derive from truetype and other existing computer fonts. We can help with manipulating a graphics file you have but appreciate if you can supply a good quality, high resolution bitmap or scaleable vector graphic file that provides a solid starting point.
If multiple knives of the same type are to be engraved with the same text or graphic, we can offer a reduced cost per knife (ie if only one set-up required). Just call or email us ahead with your requirements.
Add this engraving fee to your knife order and indicate in the order notes on the checkout page the text you wish to have engraved, or if it’s a graphic, then follow up with an email. See the engraving FAQ for detailed requirements.
Add this engraving fee once for each knife in your order that you want engraved. For example, if you want engraving on two of three knives in an order, add two of these engraving fees.
